I bought a new magazine for my CD changer recently since it was absent when I bought the car. I loaded it up with CD's and it plugged in quite normally. However, when I hit the CD switch on the HU, the display says there's no magazine in the changer. I tried ejecting and reinserting the magazine to no effect. Any thoughts?

It's probably the changer itself. Try unplugging the CD changer from power for a minute.
