The CLK system is different from the E system, so I wouldn't read too much into this.

The dual 2.25 inch E55 pipe flows more than a single 3 inch pipe (I think I did the math in one of your other threads).

No,

The W210 E55 is actually a better exhaust system and has more potential to make power, the CLK55 exhaust setup is dual 2.25" that merges into a roughly 2.75"ID single pipe (which is alittle under 2.9" OD), I don't think its quite 3.0" looks alittle bit smaller.

Keep the true dual, with X-pipe and high flow cats (you can do both primaries & secondaries on the W210s, alot more room to work with than the W208s). You already have headers, so your exhaust system will be complete once you do all those things. If I'm not mistaken you are pretty much already there aren't you?

Compared to single 3 inch, yes. Your dual 2.5 inch flows more than a 3.5 inch single pipe.

Yes, your setup is much better, do not switch. Your exhaust system is pretty much maxed out. Only way to make more power is to do an aggressive port & polish on your exhaust ports once you redo your heads. Other then that its time to look for power elsewhere. On your car the next step seems to be upgrading pulley systems (both crank & accessory). That will be a significant amount of power.

You have a good exhaust setup, stick with it.
