Can somebody tell me which engine is this?!I have only engine number: 104995 22 990023

That engine is in w210 VIN:WDB2100552A147341 there is a big discussion is this a 3.2L or a 3.6 AMG engine.

On that engine block there is no E36 imprinted in metal like on C36 engine...on C36 engine there is C36 letters imprintted on engine block next to the engine number.
The engine have the 3.6 letters on intake pipeline and AMG sign on ventil cover but no E36 imprinted on metal on the block next to the engine number!!!

So i need to found out is that an 3.6 L engine?!

 

First , you are posting on a forum that mostly covers cars with M113 engines with V8 , just to let you know, even though the car you are referring to is W210 Chassis..

According to my records, the 3.6L AMG Engines starts with the numbers M104-941 NOT 995, the 995 are 3.2L Engines.... your best bet is to call any Mercedes Dealer and give them the Chassis number and the engine numbers , ask them if they match ( meaning they belong to the same car ) and then ask them for the specs of the engine ( via the serial number ) , they should be able to confirm everything for you .

 

WDB1240521C215257-this is chassis number of my W124 E36 coupe and it has 3.6L AMG engine with M104992 number....so not necceserly it is must be 104941...

I Think is an E320 with some AMG package (optionals) but really, is hard to know the really in this rare models.. the E50's amg (W210) figures "E420" in the history documents, & really comes from the factory with the "M119 5.0 AMG & amg package"..

Is the same with the E60 AMG (W124).. in all history documents figures than a W124 500E/E500 & NOT an E60 factory model..

Really you need to check all the car (Brakes, Suspension, Interior, Cluster with AMG engravement, Airbag, Seat) to confirm that is really or not an AMG..

The engine number match the VIN number.. Is factory mounted in the car

You are right i agree.. I'm pretty sure you need to say this optional number to buy engine parts to this car. really when you say the VIN in the dealer, they would know the car is an AMG. but.... some dealers are a little slower.
