The Old Lady just bowed out . . .

I just traded in my 2000 E55 with 53,500 miles and lots of goodies - Koni FSDs, H&R Springs, Power Chip, AMS Headers, X-Pipe, BMG Filters, Sprint Booster, secondary cats, etc. etc. - for a 2008 BMW 135 WITH 13K miles, fully loaded.

Thanks for all the help with mods, DIYs and such. I'll miss the old fella, but I bought it in '04 at 45k miles and had yet to hit 54k miles over 6 years later. I was driving it an average of about 350 miles a year, and of course the more time passed the more the value dropped. I did not even bother trying to sell it as that just gets painful, and the dealer had a car with the color and options to move me. Plus, at $11,500 for my trade I thought it wasn't terrible. Never good enough, but not terrible. I do still have the C55 so I guess I'll be lingering still in that forum. It's been fun!!!

I definetly would have traded ECU's before you did that.

I'm curious, why only 350 miles per year?

Also why a 135 and not a 335? There really isn't a significant weight advantage between the two.

...I average double that in a week. Yowsah.

Sorry to see you leave, and that sounds like it was a mean machine! Hopefully it'll be off to a good home and loved for many more years.
