Just wondering if I can run a 19x8.5 in the front with a 42 offset and a 19x9.5 in the rear with a 48 offset on an E55

Assuming the wheel design has big brake clearance and rounded shoulders on tires, the max front offset should not exceed 32 with 19*8.5.

bottom line: you will need 10mm hub centric spacers (inside/out) to make your config work.

The E55's front suspension geometry is hyper-sensitive. After market wheels are hard to come by and must be perfectly dialed in to eliminate vibrations and rubbing. Having said that....it can be done and i don't want to discourage you.
