Peter,

Do you know if i need to change the fan and pulley as well or can I just change the pump?

I had it replace by the dealer while back on my E55 cause it was leaking and they didn't replace the fan or the pulley.

No you don't need to replace the fan or pulley. Make sure you get a new gasket though. Also keep in mind the bolts are differing lengths so you can use a piece of cardboard and draw the water pump on it and push the bolts through where they need to go. That way you wont get them mixed up
