Need help with rear rotor removal

Ok guys, I need some direction here please. My rear passenger brakes seized since the pads and rotor are extremely low. I bought the parts I need to change them, but I can't get either rotor off. What am I missing. I don't see anything else that is holding them on, but I can't get it off even after beating it.

Thanks guys

Get a rubber mallet and start hammering the back of the rotor in a circular motion. It just Rusted over time but it will come off. It will help if you spray the hub area with penetrating oil

Beat it harder. I had to really beat the crap out of mine. If you have a big sledge hammer, hit it with that.

The only thing holding the rotor if i remember correctly was the allen nut

Yup, it'll go. Make sure the parking brake is off and of course the locking bolt is out. Also, if the parking brake has been run-in and then readjusted, you may need to back the shoes off. Might be hanging on them if there is a lip on the inside of drum on the rotor. Normally I pound on the front of the rim, hard, moving each hit in a circular motion around the face of the rotor.

Great! Well the parking brake was on to keep it from rolling down my driveway...when I finally got it off it came apart. Springs came out and I have no clue what to do know...This is getting to be a pain in the butt

Removal
  1. Remove brake discs on rear axle. See: Disc Brake System\Brake Rotor/Disc\Service and Repair\Procedures
  2. Model 202, 208 or 210, remove cover sheet below the rear squab.
  3. Models 129 or 140, remove heat shield from exhaust system.
  4. Preload automatic slack adjuster.
    1. Detach return spring (111) using tool No. 116 589 01 62 00 (041). 1z
    2. Detach spring (107) using tool No 112 589 09 61 00 (040).
    3. Remove brake shoes (103) above the rear axle shaft flange (68).
      1. Detach return spring (112).
      2. Remove expanding lock (109).
      Installation

      1. Install in reverse sequence, noting the following:
        1. Models 140, 202, 208 or 210, release automatic slack adjuster, refer to Unload Automatic Slack Adjuster. See: Parking Brake Cable\Adjustments Models 129 or 170, tension adjustable slack adjuster. See: Parking Brake Cable\Adjustments
        2. Adjust parking brake.
          Adjustment
          1. Raise vehicle at rear.
          2. Models 129, 170, loosen adjusting screw (89).
          3. Unscrew one wheel bolt on the left and right rear wheel. IMPORTANT: light-alloy wheels must be removed.
          4. Using a screw driver (4.5 mm) turn the adjuster (105) until the brake shoes make contact and it is no longer possible to turn the rear wheel.
Left side: Turn adjuster from the top downwards

            1. Turn back adjuster (105) until it is possible to turn the rear wheel completely freely.
              Models 202, 203, 208, 209 or 210 (12-15 teeth)

              1. Models 129 or 170, screw in adjusting screw (89) until the brake cables no longer sag.
              2. Operate parking brake firmly several times.
              3. Models 129, 170, adjust parking brake:
                approx. 90 - 120 N on model 170.

                1. Check clearance of rear wheels.

Awesome write up...very helpful...Ok...I tried putting the parking brake on the driver rear. I had a friend help out, but we can't figure it out. This might have been the original problem. It seems this side is always engaged since the rotor won't go back on.

The parking brake won't close anymore even when adjusted to account for a new rotor. I can't figure it out..anyone have this happen to them? Like the parking brake doesn't disengage.

Did you make sure you aren't fighting the slack adjuster? Also ensure that the shoes are seated all the way and centered. If there is any adjustment between the shoes, make sure that is down.

Well, I worked on it a little more this morning. No, luck. So a tow truck is on it's way...I'm done with it.
