2002 e55: What are the cd changer options ??
it seems I can use the nav OR play a cd but not both.
Am I doing someting wrong or do I need a changer ???
Is the OEM benz 6 disc changer the only one that works with the stock system (nav)
Can I self install
Where is the best place to buy ??
Should I just have the dealer do it ??

Have you looked in the trunk?
If you have factory installed Comand Nav system the trunk mounted CD changer is standard. Looks like the previous owner or dealer removed it. The "2002 Mercedes-Benz Prices And Optional Equipment" brouchure states:
"COMAND integrated navigation system, radio and single-CD player/CD-ROM drive. Integrated 6-disc CD changer, mounted in trunk (sedans,) or cargo area (wagons). note 5. $2080"
Note 5.
"Dealer-installed if ordered as an indivual accessory, factory-installed when standard or part of an Option Package."
