A/C humidity Smell
Hello people! well this is my issue; I have a hard scent to humidity when i start the A/C in the morning... really all the times when i start the A/C.. but is not perceptible when the a/c is started 2 or 3 times in the same day... i only get the humidity smell when the car is off by 2-3 hours in ahead
I know i'm not the only one with this issue, any help guys? someone try any fix & results?
I check the exit water down the car (near the tranny) & all 2 are free water flush

I try 2 way's friends... i remove the pollen & carbon active filters, spray an antifungal, put all new filters, but smell persist (not too much first 2 - 3 days after) but one week later the smell returns I'm very angry with this

Sounds a little like mould buildup if you ask me.
I had a similar situation in an old car of mine and it turns out that becuase it was parked under a tree the leaves built up under where the wipers were and subsequently decomposing. Everytime I tured on the air it would smell like a compost bin. cleaned it all out and presto! no smell..
just a suggestion.

After the pollen filter replacement trying cleaning out the airbox drain tube. If that becomes clogged it can prevent condisation from escaping the air box, thus creating the oder. Also, use Lysol to spray down the the air intake for the cabin. This should help kill the bacteria causing the oder. I hope this helps.

If someone have other sugestion's would be apreciate. my only worry is need to change the evaporator to fix the odor!!! :S Extreme heavy work
