I like the car (partial to silver/black). Has all maintainence records. Nav, iPod hookup, newer tires. Looks to be well taken care of with love. Price is acceptable. Get a PPI to be sure there are no unforeseeables.

Located in Chantilly, Va area. I recognize the beautiful Autumn leaves from those trees. My brother-in-law lived there working for the FBI in DC. Now, transferred to the San Diego branch and in shock of CA pricing. They can't make ends meet and bleed $900 from us each month to survive.

 

Run the CarFax. If it looks clean there then its a good deal.

 

Since I fanatically scour the ads everyday looking for a car, I just saw her on Ebay. Carfax shows 6 owners with the first being in Ontario, Canada. No accidents and scored a 71. You gonna check her out?

It is described mint and looks good on pictures. I emailed the guy but did not hear back from him though. I am tempted to drive there (around 150 miles) and check it out. What do you guys think about it?

 

I have been watching that one as well. Never left Indiana, 3 owner, immacualte with records. Scored 87 on Carfax up to $11K. Give him a call.

By contrast, a 2001 with same mileage and similar condition popped up here in Ca for $19.5K Firm!!

 

When you hear Indianapolis or Canada, check for rust. Otherwise, that looks clean and like a good deal.

I would have gone but owner is not responsive to emails. It seems that all of our intetest for E55s have raised the bottom line for this model and year. If price keeps going up, why not purchase a 2005 E500 with 70000 and for the same $. Just an@idea.

 

He said that he has an offer for $8000 and needs money and will take that if nothing better comes in this weekend.

 

Damn... Accepting an offer of $8K? Even if you need $3K worth of fixes or updates, it is a steal. Where are these deals on the West Coast?

Very tempted. Have two cars already with one being a 2000 clk430 convertible and a one car garage. Also have 2 motocycles and a stand up trailer in the garage. Would be a shame to have one of the two mercedes parked outside. Hmm do I really need 3 cars? Could not see myself getting rid of my clk430 as I love it and has just 56K miles.
