Enjoy! Hope this satisfies the masses. Just cleaned it too, and of course there are things I need to do to it....

Thanks. I've gotten a LOT of complaments on the wheels.
I tried that stuff on the last E55..Never work...I'm looking into all new lens/housing. I really want to work on exhaust this time next though. Never got around to it on the last one..I can try the cleaner for now though. I think I still have some

Just noticed the tinted windshield in the pics, then saw the comments. Very nice. Should help a lot with heat in those Bama summers.
Meguiars Plast-X (or basic rubbing compound) plus a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser will get everything but the worst wear out of headlights. From the pictures, I think it would work. If not, you're looking at something like the 3M kit with a drill attachment.
I have a bunch of friends from Alabama/Auburn that are in CHS now. Good area, and there's a big Navy/Coast Guard presence.

Great car, front windshield tint is technically illegal so you may have issues with cops (just fyi).
You can easily clean up those headlights but don't try and do it by hand. Get a small 6" orbital, put some blue painters tape on the paint around the headlight and use the orbital to really work the plastic polish into the paint. If its extremely rough you may need to start with 2000 grit wet sand paper (but this should only be done in extreme cases). Usually a random obital buffer will do wonders. 5 min with a random orbital = like 30 min using arm & shoulders, doesn't even compare. Just be sure its a random orbital and it move it around frequently not to create any heat spots. You can easily make them look better than new, don't waste money on a new set of headlights.
The wheels will look even better once you get some springs, suspension will really enhance the stance of the car.
congrats, welcome back to the W210 E55 AMG family

Yea, it worked awesomely toward the end of the summer down here, and kept the inside cool while driving in 100 degree weather...I'll be glad to leave soon. I just can't do the extreme heat when most of my work is outside on a BLACK boat.
Of course I have been pulled over already and the windshield was never mentioned. It's not any darker then 35%. Plus driving around with out of state tags help.
I guess I'll give the plast-x another try then since you guys seem to say it works.
It will be a long while until I drop it. I just did a full suspension ungrade on my '90 750il. It was a headache, and need to do something easier first. Plus, I did it all myself. But...I'll do in soon. O2 sensors first

Great car. I love the wheels.
I'll add one of my headlights also sucks, and I got out my Porter Cable and some Plast-X and I think my headlight just laughed at me. Didn't do a thing. I just haven't gotten around to sanding it yet to make it look nice.

plastix wont dont nothing if you dont sand it .. chances are even the 2000 grit wont do nothing .. if your gonna do it at all might as well start from the get go and work with the low grit and finish with the 2000 then polish it .. ive tried with regular drill and still didnt get the effect i was looking for then with a hi speed drill . came out tit ..
Im looking to tint my windsheild also but i have so many rock chips i dont know if it will look worse .
Car looks clean as hell ..

JamE55.... should have known you'd say something like that.. You almost had me.
MBFLO...That's why I was planning on just replacing them when the time came. I know what you mean about those rock chips...I'm glad to be out of New England like where I had my last E55. This is a FL car, and looks amazing. Thanks for the comment

Lookin' Good Brahhh! Get that sucker lowered.... My diesel, is lower than yours!! From the looks, a spring pad swap may be enough.
Good to see you back in one.... Are those the same wheels you had on your prior E?

Actually, these wheels are extremely similar...Few differences, Different brand, chrome lip, and matte black on the inside of spokes. Really makes the wheels pop when in person
