Unhappy Accident.. :(

..... sniff, sniff

Ok well maybe it's not that bad, but still I shouldn't even been driving the beast. I haven't been driving it for the past 3 weeks as I was driving the winter beater and dropped it off this week to get winterized and on my way home (highway) where it becomes a little dark, I hit a massive truck tire a nice one with the steel belts as soon as I saw it , I quickly looked over to my left and there was a car in that lane. All I could do is go straight and eat it BAM! it was so loud I thought for sure the air bags were going to deploy. I was about 3 miles from home no flats or anything. When I got home I looked at the side skirt and saw black tire marks and thought I got away easy. Boy was I wrong the next day as I pulled the car out of the garage my wife had that OMG look on her face. I quickly stopped and found ............ no fog lamp, cracked bumper, mesh (small piece) gone and dented in mesh (middle)

So whats the over/under on the repair bill?

So much for having a clean car fax. I'll take pics this weekend before I drop her off. I'll slap on the new Depos while she's in there and xenon/fog lamps.

I'm teaming up with a buddy of mine who just did a retrofit on his Audi S4

That blows, bro. I hit a truck tire on I-5 going 60mph and it F'ed my front end up! It tore everything out from under the car, on impact my dash lit up like a christmas tree ha ha. I feel for you and hope that you get her back to new condition. I suggest that you go over that car with a fine tooth comb to make sure that all is well before you take it back from the shop. I have been in a fight with mine for over a year now. IT SUCKS.

At least it wasn't your fault. I was sick to my stomach for two days after I accidentally dropped a butcher-block counter on my hood (it's a long story). All original factory paint, still "wet" after 120K/one owner. I had had it for a week. Ugggh.

This you have to tell wow

Can't be as bad as my S-Class, had it for less then 4 days as I was approaching a red light I could see a pickup truck on my as# and before I knew it, he was in my back seat just hanging out. 5k damages

However this thread is making me feel better
