New option for the rear deck?
I stopped at my local car audio place and talked to the guys about some options to improve the sound in my car without taking up any real trunk space. I saw a demo of the new Hybrid Audio 6.5" sub. Yeah, it actually has a serious magnet for such a little speaker. They said it'll be out in a month or two, but for those of you that haven't heard of Hybrid, they put out some serious stuff.

Anyway, I'm thinking of using that extra opening next to the crap Bose (which are a COMPLETE joke) leaving the stock as mid-fill and possibly throwing a set of the Hybrid's in. We'll see though. Either way it won't happen for awhile but at least wanted to throw it out there to start a conversation about options or at least give some others an idea.

I have hybrid in my NSX and I love them. The owner lives here in GA and I see his speakers in a lot of competition vehicles. Can't go wrong with Hybrid Audio!

If your Bose sounds like crap, then I suggest that the problem is that the system is not working correctly (cracked/torn cones?). When intact, the sound quality is superb, and makes other sound systems I've heard sound pretty poor. On the other hand, I don't listen to loud rock/rap . . . which may be appealing to you?

I don't want to get into an argument about Bose (this has been done many times in many forums) but to me, Bose is the biggest joke ever as far as quality audio is concerned.
I've been around audio systems long enough to know what blown speakers sound like. Nothing overly wrong with my speakers. They just sound like a Bose system, ha ha.
That said, I also don't want to spend a few grand ripping it all out and putting in something nice.
