should I buy 00 or 01 E55 The 2000 E55 has 99,000 miles 1 owner and the 2001 has 87,000 miles and is 17,000 dollars and has had 2 owners. Which one do you think is a better buy?

2001 E55 - 2008 CLS63 -2016 F-150
how much is the 2000 with 99k miles .. Its really hard to say without looking at both cars and seeing what kind of service history they both have .. the 2001 is around that mileage where stuff is at the time where needs to be changed out or replaced . So if it hasnt had certain things done to it maintanence wise could end up costing u alot more .
17k is kinda high IMHO for 90k miles . I got mine with 10k miles more for almost $8k cheaper , and fully serviced with spare set of amg <rep> rims n toyo tires . It all depends i guess how bad u want it and what your willing to spend .. but for 17 k I'd be looking in the w211 E55 range and throw a couple more grand into the deal personally .

2002 E55 AMG Obsidian Black with Charcoal
12,000 miles difference is not worth the $5,000 difference in asking price.
The one owner 2000 seems more interesting. You would have a better chance at knowing the entire service history of the car.
2000 vs 2001 not much difference in the two years. Small, behind the scenes, items that you would not notice.
99,000 vs 87,000 miles not much difference in total miles. The same items need to be addressed between 80-100,000 miles. Items due NOW vs preventative maintenance.
There were less units produced in 2001 vs the 2000, if you are thinking of collector value in the future?
Other then that, color could help you decide. Some people love the two tone interior seat covers. Others, not so much....
Which one of the two has the least amount to fix for you to drive it? Maintenance due vs preventative maintenance should not deter your decision.
When I searched for my E55, I found the best example I could, with the colors that I wanted, and the last year (2002) for the W210.
