t304 and t409 stainless steel for x-pipe

I want to put an x-pipe in place of the resonator and I was told to get a t304 stainless steel one vs the cheaper t409 as the hush new england weather in the winter and salt will eat up the t409 pipes. Is that true? I know about the stainless process is about the chromium in the steel. The more the better.

Either will probably outlast your ownership of the car. So no need to go SS in this setup.
