Wider rear rims?

Does anybody knows if you can put wider rims on the back...like a 10" vs the 9" on the standard 18" wheels? I saw for sale on ebay a 04 W211 E55 and the guy has some custom wheels and the back is 18x10. Very wide and nice.

An 8X10 ET30 with a 285/35/18 should fit just fine. I believe an ET35 may also fit. Lots of room back there.

Should be fine with the correct section width mounted on the front rims. Probably, 235.

rim size

I have a 2002.....not sure what size??? Could be 9.5? I was looking at the R129 SL600 2-piece bbs amg aero rims. They are 10x18's rear. Probably would not fit my car but they look nice with a 2 in lip.

Those are very nice too. Too many choices... I'll probably look out for the bbs 18's aero as that was my original choice and I still like them a lot.

I have P Zeros that are Audi spec R01 they are 295s but wayyyy wider than the Mercedes spec 285s

So that Mercedes spec is the narrowest 285 and the Audi spec is the widest 295. Almost 2in now 10mm lol. I want to get a 10 wide rim. Or maybe run the forged 5 spoke e63s wheels. My boss has a set and they are lighter than the 10 spokes
