Just ordered headers round 2
Some of you may remember I bought some Kleemann headers a while back, but it turned out that the downpipes were actually meant for the W220. I wasn't intersted in the hassle of having to get them rewelded so I sold them and was debating whether I should pick up a set of AMS headers. Anyways, the good news is that I finally placed my order, after much contemplation. I cannot wait to receive them and will be getting my car dynoed before and after installing them. I will also be returning to the track this Wednesday to get a better baseline run of my car.

Got them in last night....er this morning and did my valve cover gaskets while I was at it. Passenger side was cake. Drivers side lower bolts almost made me suicidal. Took it around at 4:30 in the morning when i finished and I have to say it's a little scary to drive with these dim headlights. managed to spin through second from a roll and pulled back into my driveway with a fat smile on my face. hehe

You probably just woke up! I've pulled jobs like that. It's very peaceful in the middle of the night. Wacky radio programs too. I am looking forward to your opinions to come on the upgrade.

I love my pulley low end and top end. You can really feel at the higher RPM's
Good stuff!

^ yea just throw out some dates. preferably a Sunday.
I just got my ECU back from Jerry @ Eurocharged this morning. First impressions on my commute today were that it was hard to stay below 70mph when I'm trying to drive normal, and that the power delivery is more linear. Those of you almost maxed out with bolt on mods should consider it.

Corvette Z06
Quite a few Bay Area guys here. I am actually in the market now for a E55 AMG and researching the mods even before I buy the car. HAHA I am a current Corvette Z06 owner and love my Corvette Community. Looks like the Mercedes world is pretty strong as well.

I'm not sure why, but my car isn't putting down numbers I'm happy with. I ran on dynojet last weekend and it only put down 297hp, but then again I don't know if my tires were slipping (all seasons at the wear bar)or if it was even dynoed correctly. The heavier rims may have been a factor also. The car pulls like a train and is enough to give you that heavy feeling in your chest when you punch it all the way through 3rd gear. On the freeway, it doesn't need to downshift to go 100+ easily.
However, I am looking to sell the car towards the end of the year. Quite a shame since I have spared no expenses in maintaining and modding the car..

Are you thinking about selling any of your mods separately when you sell the car? If so, I may be interested in some parts.

There's a very good chance i'd be interested in the headers if you decide to sell them.
