About 2 months ago the trunk release from within the car stopping working. The remote and key blade worked so I didn’t worry about it.

This morning the Key blade would not open the trunk. This is strange since it is a simple metal key and it does not look deformed.

Any thoughts on next steps.

I have an 02 e55 and had a bike rack on the trunk this weekend and now my trunk won't open. The blade key won't turn in the lock ( the lock just pushes in), the remote release doesn't work, and the button on the keyfob doesn't work ( can't hear the actuator trying to pop the trunk)

anyone any thoughts on this ?
