Steering wheel with paddle shifters

Steering wheel with paddle shifters
Has anyone looked into the possibility of fitting a steering wheel with paddle shifters to a W210 E55? I've searched and haven't found anything definitive.
Seems like we could tie into the same electronics that are used with the shifter. Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

I'm pretty sure, it' possible.. if i have an 00+ model definitly i would made this mod to the car. but my 99 is not touch shift 
anyway. i'm sure you can run wires to the little switchs in the shifter to the steering paddles and it will works perfect

I have seen it done on non amg w203's. They just tapped into the shift knob wires. Which paddles you use would just be personal preference. It would be fun, even cooler if someone could figure out to get the damn shift delay shorter too.
