Run in with ISF
The e55 is my dd and I drive it about 30 miles to work and 30 miles back. Had a real long work week
and was leaving my friends house last nite. So I then decided to do a little bit of spirited driving that nite lol. I hit the freeway and did a few nice pulls to remind me why I love this car. Nothing WOT but just enough to feel the power with the high revs. As I'm getting off the exit I see a black ISF getting ready to go on the highway, so of course I follow him. I catch up to him and we do a few pulls. We go from 50mph after 3 honks and I thrash him lol. I brake to let him catch up and then we do it again except from 80mph. Smashed him again hit about 150 before I brake to let him catch up. We rolled once more at 60, same outcome. I was def feeling good knowing that my 10year old car still has it. Btw my car is not stock.

I have samas' mods from his 210 when he was selling his car. He ran a 12.5 n/a. I have his setup minus an ecu tune at the moment. His times are up on dragtimes. Waiting for a good dyno tune. And the curb weight from an ISF looks about the same as a w210 to me....

Thank you sir, I plan on keeping it n/a and was thinking about doing the ported heads from shardul, drop in some cams and get a nice dyno tune to top it off. I was thinking of getting a blower but I'd rather get a w211 and save myself the headache and have both cars like you do lol.

Could you list the mods? He's had quite a few things apparently. I am curious.

I don't understand why its such a huge secret for you to tell us what u have done to your car. from what experiance i have had owning a w210 you have a limited amount of performance upgrades. shorty headers, carbon intake, crank pulley, exhaust and possable tune. Other then that cant think of much else unless u have a bored/stroked motor and cams that you already stated u did'nt. Spill the beans bro were not gonna hunt you down and race you.

That's a nice kill. Your mods are most substantially on the exhaust side which makes sense. For the output and breathing of these engines, the exhaust system tubing diameters seems to be a bit small and the manifolds are just silly.

I have 3 questions (since I am still learing all about BENZ) I thought I knew enough about cars bust still learing anyway
1- 1996 E320 L6 engine,, How many RPM at the speed of 70 Miles????
2- I got error code (AC) 419 , which is compressor clutch,, can it be the AC relay (the easy fix first)? by the way where is that relay located??
3- Can anyone help me ,,how to remove the IGNITION coil? there are 3 coils and I am not sure how to take them off in order to replace the plugs,, I try to pull up straight,, did not work,, I was afraid to breake it ,, I am sure some of you done that before..
Thank you all for your great support .
