E55 vs. E500 Suspension

I recently was in an 03 E500. Its suspension is soft compared to E-class cars of 3-4 years ago. I wont be able ot test drive E55 before I get mine. Can some proud new E 55 owner tell us how its suspension compares with current E500 and older E class cars.

Whenever you testdrive a E55, set the Airmatic to Sport Setting 2.
You'll be surprised how much difference there is between the E500 and the E55. Like day and night.

'22 Alpina B7,'21 G63 Renntech obviously (wife), Wrangler(kids)
I constantly keep playing with that feature, depending on road conditions.
You really can have it three ways, stiff like an RS6,softer like an M5
or soft like S Type R.

Thanks Rennteam and Absent. How is the feel compared to say 2000 E class or earlier ones for Sport Setting 2?

Sorry, I never drove a 2000 E-class to make a comparison.
The only thing I know is that the E55 feels pretty stiff for a limousine in sport setting 2. We owned a 2000 CLK 320 with DC sport suspension as a company car a while ago and I can tell you that the E55 is stiffer and sportier. Sorry I can't help you more.
I can tell you for sure that the E55 feels more stiff and sportier than the E500 and E240 I testdrove but I'm not sure if this will help.
