My Left turn signal will not go off when the engine is on. If I turn on the right signal ind, the left will go off, but as soon as the right turn signal goes off the left turn signal goes back on. This is happening in the rear and the front of the car and the dash itself is showing left turn signal on,

I have checked the bulbs in front and rear on the left side and they both look fine. I am taking the car to my mechanic this Sunday. Are there some items I should check first myself.
