2001 E55 with Kleemaan supercharge-How reliable?

I am wondering how reliable is for used 2001 E55 with Kleemaan supercharge. It has about 80K miles on it and let say it has the supercharge since 2003 or around 10K miles on it. Also not sure how much is the right price for it. Thanks...

haters crazy
Yes they are reliable. I've pushed my Kleemann Clk55 pretty far and have run some good numbers. Almost 50k miles with the blower. I have friends with more mileage than that on theirs

Good point...I don't know/am not sure how they installed. He wasn't the original owner who installed the first time..but he can show me the receipt from the original owner. And ofcourse I am not sure if there are any other mod and what cost associated with it if breaks down etc. I am trying to justify if it is worth to consider to purchase the car. You made great points in asking all those questions....
The asking was about $16K. But again not sure how much the car is worth with all this mod and wheather it is a risk to buy a car that has been mod.... BTW with the SC Kleemaan will the car pass the CA smog test/will this be a problem? Thanks...

KLEEMANN kompressor systems are CARB certified in the W210 E55, so yes, it's emissions compliant in all states including California. EO# D-528.

$16k is CHEAP ! stock car alone is $12K so $4k i think worth it. But you need to find a good European indy shop. Good luck !

It's installed since it was 10K miles, so it has about 70K miles on it with the SC. But it seems the bearing was rebuilt about 5-10K miles ago.
