Can there be too much torque! I think in our cars yes
Ok so no matter what tires I have it seems that when its slightly wet that's it, if I step on it I will loose traction form the go, up to 45mph I will still brake loose lots of times.
Even on dry pavement I have a hard time launching the car. Asphalt seems to be a lot more sticky than concrete is what I have found out.
Either way I think this car have too much low end torque, it would be more beneficial in my opinion to move up the power band higher in the rpm range by opening up intake and exhaust to the maximum and by this trading off torque for some hp gain higher in the band
just thinking out loud........
its just so many times lately someone tries to race me form the stop and i just brake loose, all that power is no good if it cant be put down properly

The 210 E55 doesn't have enough hp or torque. Yes, wet roads are slippery. That's why you use your right foot to modulate your speed on wet roads. You can get yourself in trouble with half the hp and torque on wet roads. If you are having issues on dry roads, it sounds like you need new tires.

can you spin from a 70mph roll in the dry....thats what 750+rwtq is like. Now thats considered traction problems, but still not enough TQ![drive](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/driving.gif)
Nothing gets traction in the rain except AWD, enjoy your W210 bro, I had one 10yrs ago, was the best car I ever owned.

I agree. The E55 doesn't have enough of either.
I do have other cars with a lot more torque. It's all how you drive it.
You want to have better traction? Buy sticky tires...

W210 -Torque
In stock form these things don't have enough torque.
If you're having issues with traction you should get an LSD to help. Maybe Quaife.

what tire size you have ? I have 275 in the back Hankook Ev12, i dont really get tracking after 20mph unless I turn into corner and step gas.
Its very enjoyable to drive without much thinking. Step and run car. I live in SoCal so no much rain and very dry weather. In the other hand, my E55 W211 can spin until 60Mph sometimes to 70Mhp. My car has some mod but i think its time to upgrade and change my tires.
