So $9K for year 2000 is right price.

Going out of town and if it's still around when I get back, and if he's willing to budge on the price a bit, I might just grab it. Love the car, but being non mechanically inclined, therefore having to rely on Mechanics, it's technically not the car tailor made for me at this point, therefore I'd look for it under a more fair market value. We'll see.

The 160k car i offered 8k for, just sold on ebay this morning for 7,300. He was pissed at me for low balling and told me it would go to auction before he would let it go for that. I kindly asked him to call me before he sent it to auction. He never did, and now hes taking a 300 loss on my 8k low ball offer. I really wanted the car. It had heated/cooled seats, nav, and red on black interior. This **** pisses me off cause know I have to wait forever until a car like that comes back up for sale.

I love when these guys say "I'll just take it to Auction" as if they'll get more money than what anyone's offering Private Party or Retail there. Cars go for the cheapest prices of all at the Auctions. If he sold it for $7,300, then at an Auction it probably would have gone for low to mid $6's.

Thats what I tried telling him. I was trying to help him out but he took it as me being an a-hole. The buy it now was 8400. I'm local to him to, I offered to pick it up.

2000 e55 amg
Well I am a few month into the purchase of a 2000 model with 257k miles. I have already ordered new rotors and brakes. I put new tires on it and ordered all the little things needed to get it back up to par. I will be replacing plugs and wires and rear hub bearings along with center drive bearing. I expect to spend at least 2k on the car but most is on everything you would and should expect to service at some point in time and the tires are a yearly thing. So far the miles mean nothing. This car will beat most stock and some non stock cars on the road and do it while pumping the AC and jamming LMAFO. Its funny when you embarrass the owner of a c5 trying to show off in front of his date. So by the high miler and spend the bucks to put it right. That way you know what you have or spend the big bucks and find one that has been babied. It all equals out in the end. Its your money and if you are into cars your gonna spend it anyway.
