E55 factory recommended transmission maintence

I have 1999 E55 AMG and owners manual says no maintence on transmission needed. I was told(but could not verify) that factory after 2002 recomends filter and fluid change atafter 40,000 miles. does anyone have copy of this thanks. kkwachi email:wachikk@comcast.net

There is lots of information on the various boards for this very topic. Bottom line is that the tranny needs a fluid changeout of as many quarts as possible and a filter replacement with compatible fluid.

It's been discussed many times on here. Do a search in this section.

Newbies are initiated through repeated directives to search. You will be stronger. AFAIK, this board and benzworld.org has had good discussions.
