E55s are GREEN

An upward job path has shifted me away from a 6 mile round trip commute and put me into one of 150. I don't mind the drive as there is little traffic and I'm, well, in the 55 on a contoured mesh of fine leather (I did add an 8" sub to make the audio more 'life like').

What has been getting old is filling up every 3-4 days. So I have become very aware of my gas guzzling habits. It doesn't mean I don't use the the available thrust, I'm just more selective.

My commute is sea level to sea level with two sets of hills neither of which is more than a few hundred feet. The warm weather helps mileage and I've cracked over 28 MPG a few times on the 75 mile one-way trip. Based on the cars range and gallons in the tank figures, I often hit 31-32 MPG while cruising. Due to weekends around town, my overall mileage hovers around 24.5.

In some way, I feel like I'm abusing the car by not abusing it but what the alternative - drive a no guts tin can, no thanks.

My best MPG is 27.1 never reach more than that. I was driving 35 miles constant speed. This car has really good high way MPG ! The Camry V6 get 30 only and E55 with V8 power !

Damn that is pretty good. I average about 20MPG with a 52 mile roundtrip commute. 101 from Palo Alto to San Jose does not help in the afternoon.

I average about 15mpg in mine. Most of my driving is all around town and I'm not on the freeway that often.

My average in Atlanta mixed commute is just over 21mpg. Not bad really. My previous C350 only averaged 26.

2012 CLS63 AMG
Thumbs up

And this another factor as to why I'm keeping the E55 as a DD when I get my new CLS55. For the money you just can't beat a W210 E55. Ridiculous low maintenance great cost factor HP/TQ and still sexy looking

W210 E55 FTW

Try resetting your ECU to factory full-power defaults and watch it drop to about 22.
