1999 W210 E55 head unit swap HELP
Somebody has done it , looking for input in swapping the stock H/U with a Kenwood , per crutchfield it's a direct fit , but from the pics I've seen of the stock H/U there where no inputs on the back. Is this a straight fwd install ? Looking to install a Kenwood KIV-701. Can't take the CD swap much longer

You just need the correct harness and it's easy from there. You will need to run power from somewhere else though. Mine is coming off the cigarette lighter.

You are going to want to use something like this:

Those bose system is 2 ohms and isn't just plug and play if you want it to sound right.
