Higher Rev Limit
Hi Guys,
It's probably been posted before but I couldn't find it in my search.
I'm getting my car custom mapped and will be upping the red-line to take advantage of the Schrick Cams that I have.
My cars power keeps building past the red-line and I wondered what a safe new limit would be?
I have a 2001 W208 CLK55 engine which reaches its limit at 6000rpm. W209 CLKs go on to 6700rpm, a lot of posts say to put the limit to 6400/6500rpm.
Can anyone tell me why as both cars have the same engine except there is a difference in valves?

I'm actually wondering what the differences are between the older M113's and the newer ones. I believe that the M113 in the W203, W209 & R171 had a higher compression ratio 11.0:1 and a higher redline.
