Sell as is or fix and sell??

I have a 2000 E55 that I've had for over 5 years and put about 87k miles on (has about 146k miles) and have enjoyed every mile. It's time to move on but there are some issues that I'm wondering should I sell as is to someone that may want to modify or should I fix it and obviously increase the price. Here are the items: Front seats (anthracite/ruby) have started to disintegrate after a small tear started, they both just started to fall apart (leather is soft and easily rips now) ($1000), passenger side cat just started to make "the noise" ($200), front rotors need to be replaced ($500)other little stuff ($500). I was thinking of selling as is for $6500 firm or fix the items and sell for $9,500. I once bought a car that someone had just put on new wheels and tires and I would have rather had the old wheels and the price adjusted so I could get something I liked more. Based on that, I'm not sure if I should fix it first before selling. Thoughts?

If it's cosmetics, I say sell as is. Mechanical stuff is a different story because people don't want to buy a car that's going to leave them stranded on the road.

Personally, if I were to buy a used car with that kind of age, I wouldn't expect the seats to be in perfect condition. You can always explain to the buyer that the car has age and it shows it and that's why it's priced the way it is. The last thing you wanna do is shell out a grand for new seats and then end up selling the car for less than you wanted for it.

I would sell it as is. Just let the buyer know why as there are people out there that would like to mod their cars and like you said, if you fix it up, you might not get the money you put in. I for once, would like to just take the cats out and have straight pipes running thru.....

I'd sell it as is unless you're thinking about keeping the car after the work is done.
