How to properly measure tire pressure?

Back in June I started a thread about proper tire pressure for my new Hankook's (2001 E55 AMG with 130,000 miles).

When measuring the tire pressure, should I do it in the morning before the car is driven anywhere? (i.e. is this what is meant by "cold" tire pressure?)

Because it seems like if I drive to a service station or the place that sold me the tires, and then check the tire pressure there, that the tires will be somewhat "warm" by then - i.e. not "cold" tire pressure.

Please advise!

go to your nearest gasstation where you can check your tire pressure.
don't go driving your car around town and then checking tires, you'll get overflate when pumping more air.
always go straight to your gasstation for tire pumping the very 1st time in the morning you start your car, don't drive fast either.
otherwise you'll heat up your tires, drive at normal speed instead, if you suspect tire leak, always check your tires frequently

OEM is 32psi front; 33psi rear. Mine are slightly higher due to personal choice. Select one tire and measure psi. Note psi. Drive to the nearest air pump. Measure psi of the same tire. In my case, usually higher by 1 psi. In this case, add 1 psi to OEM all the way around. Measure tires the next morning, and you should be at OEM. Viola!! Good luck.
