2000 E55 with some stuff
2000 E55 throttle limp home

Car has been driving normal and full power up until about a month ago when I was headed to the parts store and pulling into the parking lot the car went into reduced throttle. It idles fine, but had a severe throttle lag and no power. CEL was not on, and scanning with the little generic code reader I keep in the glove box showed no codes pending. I shut her down and on restart everything was fine again. A few days ago she did it again, and a restart did not help. now it seems like once in a while it will act fine, but even when it is acting up, she will act OK immediately after starting and give me normal throttle for 2 or 3 seconds. CEL still is not on, and one code was shown as pending on the generic reader for Intake Air Temp Sensor malfunction (P0110 I believe). Days later she is still doing this, and still no CEL. I tried clearing out the pending code while I wait for my new MAF form autohaus, but still nothing. If I leave the car running and idling long enough she starts to smell and shows pending for the front O2 sensors from how rich it is running now like this. MAF cleaning did not help either. In the last 6-12 months I have replaced with dealer parts:
Plugs
Wires
CPS
Fuel Filter
Air Filters
Valve Cover Gaskets

Car is also 100% stock. Anyone have any ideas? There is no dealer near me that I can get her to, nor is there an Indy with DAS. I've recently moved and haven't even begun to unpack enough to find my multiplexer and Carsoft.

I believe you have a bad MAF sensor, or a speed sensor in the "Conductor Plate" goes bad,,

also you have to check if you have an oil inside your TCU.....

with a bad MAF, will the car only open the throttle plate about 10% of the way? Everything was pulled off today to clean and inspect, and with the key in pos 2 and engine off, the throttle only opens about 10%. Before this it opened all the way when the throttle was pressed to the floor. The ETA also makes a constant buzzing sound. The ETA is not the issue either, as it responds correctly when installed in another alike car.

Sometimes clean MAF doesn't help, if the MAF film already blows, that can be appears when the car goes hot,,

Throttle should to open like 8%, to allows air for start emission,,

Throttle can cause some malfunction issues, if it been removed,, it need to reset it by the STAR/SDS,

cause your Throttle is 100% Electronic adjustable through the ECU.....

What's an ETA?

This sounds kind of like the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS), but not really. Might be worth looking at.
