Radio code "issues"
Radio code "issues"
Well it looks like I found out today my "stock" radio is not the original one for the car. The original obviously broke or something and was replaced, so now when I replaced my battery in my car, the radio threw the "code" up on me.
I take it to the MB dealership in town knowing that's my best bet, they give me the code that goes with my VIN, not the new radio. Doesn't work... Obviously, but is there anyway to figure out the code for this new radio? HELP... I'm a broke *** in a band just need to ride with something playing and it's illegal in FL to ride around with headphones hahahaha

well you started off doing the right thing, why didn't you ask the dealer for further assistance? You just need to get the serial number off the unit and the dealer can get it that way.

Dealer pulled out my radio using special hooks and the code was written on the top of the radio.
Your car may have a bad battery. The car is still able to start, but it's undervoltage at night which is why the radio seems to be requesting the code because it thinks the power source was interrupted.
