aFe Pro Dry S Air Filter Elements 31-10084

I purchased mine from Summit Racing. It is a mail order/on-line high performance parts retailer. I have been a long time customer for my other American muscle cars, so I often get discount coupons.

I had a 20% off discount and they threw in free shipping when I purchased these:

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/af...0084/overview/

$64.95 each or $129.90 for the pair (cost me $103.92).

Hey, if you can get them cheap....more power to you Definitely get them with the discount including the free shipping.

I usually go thru eBay before anywhere else as I don't have coupons and you can't beat the eBay price if you are a one of, single buyer like me

BTW, there is a "Make Offer" price on eBay. You never know, might be able to get them to match your summit price.

I put my new AFE filters in today.

Nice! I can actually feel the difference in acceleration.
Yeah....I need to finish with my exhaust mods.....then dyno again.

When I first got my carbon airbox with the AFE filters, I immediately can feel the difference vs my regular airbox with the conventional filters. The thing about these filters, you have to vacuum them every once in a while as they collect dust and these hinders the breathing process, and you can feel the car kind of sluggish (maybe not sluggish but back to its original self, before the AFE filters). I run mine thru the house vacuum hose and wipe them down with wet wipes. I think its much easier that way then run them thru a faucet as the dirt get suck in the groves when wet and harder to get them out....my two cents.

They should last a few years. I never seen mine been rip or pieces breaking out. If you clean them 4 times a year like I do when I change my oil, I would think they will last forever, like the K&N. The good think about these filters, you don't have to oil them after cleaning them.

You can if your fiancee works for an airline, have friends in the U.S. and U.K., order them and have them delivered, collected, and flown over for you at no cost

Zayed, if you want a set, let me know!

Unfortunately, i didn't do any kind of dyno #s before & after, but i'm sos satisfied with "E55K/CL55K/S55K/SL55K" airbox,

they are brilliant, you can feel the difference, if you put back the stock one,,

there are some of our friends here with 55K airbox, with 100% satisfaction....

eBay

Btw, you can type in "AFE 31-10084 Mercedes E55" on ebay search to see all the sellers. Most of them are free shipping, in the US. You might want to ask how much is shipping priority mail. You will need two of the filters and how priority mail works is, under certain weight, you only have to pay one price. So make sure you have two filters for the one price shipping. Hope this helps.
