Speedometer with 300 or 320 km/h, anyone knew how to do it?
Hi there,
as some of you knew, Germany has no speed limit, so I intend to modify my speedometer from 280 to 300 or 320km/h.
Actual my car drives 286km/h, regarding to the instrument cluster, but the needle stops at 280km/h. In a few weeks I will install new headers and hopefully beat the 290km/h. but I’d like to see this analog as well.
Anyone knew what to do to change the coding of the Cluster? SD Dev is available but I don’t see anything I could code there to switch the scale.
I am really interested in doing this myself. Any tip would be appreciated.

Im not sure, i could be wrong, but i think you can’t modifying your exist cluster,
you may need to get the same one like the one that our friend "Mazik".....

it can be modified ... "Kicherer" and "MKB" for example do these mods. A friend of mine had this be done by "Kicherer", it took 15 Minutes, so i am sure it is no big deal ...
320km/h is no stock Cluster, W210 E55 ever had 280km/h, W208 CLK55 had 300km/h.
