2004 C230 Electrical problem

Kinda a newbie on here. An off the wall question here that i am not sure how to aproach. I ahve a 2004 MB C230. I have been having altenator issues. Everything was showing altenator and battery issues. One day driving to work I lost all power and started having a rough engine. I wnt to park the vehicle and once I parked the engine started to work normaly. From everything I know that does not indicate a alenator problem or battery.... To me that says a electrical problem. I heard a few diffrent ideas. I was involved in a rear end collision a year or so again where the car should of been totaled. ( my insurance company decided it was better to fix than replace.. CRAZY expensive on there side!) Other than that been great. PLEASE help!!

Get a code scanner. This is the W210 E55 forum, if you post in the C- class section you'll get better info
