E55 Misfire??
Hi guys, new to the site. Looking for some advises.
Just bought an 01 e55 w/ 145k. After 30mins of driving under some acceleration CEL starts blinking. I pull over and scan it, codes are for Misfire Cyl 1 and 3. And MAP Circuit. Wanted to fix it up, i love the car !! Dont know if plugs/wires or coils were ever changed..
Where should i start ?

Will get wires first, what if i just change wires for the 2 cylinders that are throwing misfires 1 and 3 ? Or gotta do them all right of the bet?

It's up to you, I had my indie guy put the headers in my car and he notice a splice wire hence he replace that one wire, telling me that I might have to do the rest down the road. I then decided to change the wires and plugs a month later. If changing 2 wires can fix the current problem I would do that and work on the rest later.

No clue. Im thinking since i only get misfires for cyl 1 and 3 they are both in 1 bank. So i will take the catalytic off that same bank and clean it through. Most likely clogged cat is causing it.. Will see, ill post the results later!
