New E55 owner checking in with odometer observation

1999 E55 AMG, black on black, all original, that I purchased this week for $7K with 128,000 on the odometer. Fantastic car and I can't keep the smile off of my face. An absolute delight to drive and my wife is threatening to seize control of the car for herself.
The first time I checked fuel mileage against the odometer/tripmeter I was amazed at the mileage. 36 mpg! Wait a minute...that can't be right...then I recalled the previous owner mentioning in passing the car was originally purchased in Canada. If I was confusing kilometers for miles that would give me 36/1.6 or 22 mpg which seemed reasonable.
I checked the odometer against known mileage routes and confirmed the odometer displays in metric. So...the car actually has 80,000 miles on it! An unexpected surprise
Anyway, I appreciate the tips all of you post on this forum. I used them to educate myself on the E55 prior to purchase and have already put your suggestions and knowledge to good use.
Cheers! Time for a drive!
After fixing the common issues & doing a tune-up,( if you're not satisfied with the sound ) delete the resonator & replace 2nd cats with X-pipe, the sound will be Perfect, and you will gain some horses.
Safe driving.
