M113 carbon box interchanbility Q
dear all,
r these carbon box made for m113 engines interchangeable? i would prefer the bubble box for the 55 but they r hard to come by it seems
does this one have more volume than the bubble box?
this one for the v8k seem to lack volume but might gain from cooler air flow?

The first one fits the W210 E55. The second one won't fit in to the E55 w210 mate. i try it once and dosnt fit. touch the firewall pretty bad and don't connect with the maf. The second one ? :S i dont know, but seems to much angle in the maf connection too than the oem box. I'm 80% sure they wont fit too mate. is pretty hard to find the bubble top but the bubble top has the best design for air volume IMO

for a little more $ of a new renntech box i might be able to get a custom made FRP DTM style here in Taiwan but it ll be a headache finding a trustworthy shop

They are very different and won't fit...... I have both car so I know....... I really don't think those Airbox worth the money. For 210 Renntech used $1K and for W211 is very rare. For $1K I rather have header or ECU tune. The airbox only provide 10hp... If you can find a good custom airbox for $500 - $600 let me know. I will be in Taiwan on June.

Holy s....t!!! you can do that in your contry? make a carbon fiber front lip to my car! i0m cryyying for someone to do the carbon lip to our cars!!!

things r a bit ridicule here as we have quite strict laws over vehicle modification to protect domestic car manufacturer however, the police rn't enforcing it so there r quite a lot of mod shop & loopholes to circumvent for those with means
i m sure a carbon lip is doable but a full clk dtm front inside out ll require serious effort & $

currently i m asking a few shops to try & finding me the carlsson lip and waiting for my titanium lug bolt to go with new rim
ll put them on once my current set of p0 wears out
these forged wheels i get from a friend weight roughly 11kg~11.5kg 8.5j/10jcheers,

2001 E55 - 2008 CLS63 -2016 F-150
What I'd love to knows if anyone has found the replacement star that goes onto the air box . Supposedly the only way to get it is to take from another air box , actually goes,on front,part cover not actual,airboxmitself
