Is this Drone!????

Hello everybody,
When I bought the car, the resonator was already replaced with 2.5 straight pipes, there was Bass but not much. However, I replaced the rear cats with a 2.5 X-pipe with time the car is sounding more and more glorious. Problem is, the cruising noise became annoying with time. I'm not sure if It's drone TBH.
I attached a link to the vid. It only occurs while cruising starts at 95Km/h and is very audible at exactly 117Km/h ( Please use a headphone or a good external speakers with good low end playback)

it certainly sounds like it to me, however, my car doesn't sound like that now, and I never heard the "drone" sound often discussed here. I often wondered what was meant by that term, but listening to what you're experiencing - that sound would fit. I always imagined it to be an evenly sounding hum, but that pulsating sounds closer to what guys here talk about.

I wonder if the length of the straight pipe and the exact position of the x-pipe matters? I've heard that the x-pipe should be installed as close to the engine as possible (??)

True, the word "drone" is not mentioned here a lot, but in the W211 and the C63 sections you'll find a few threads.
It sounds like an even hum and only pulsates when I lift my foot from the pedal. I have a 2.5 Magnaflow X-pipe which is in place of the rear cats.(as close to the engine as possible).

Hey Fabio, I have the X-pipe installed in place of the 2nd cats, but when I'm driving on the highway I hear an unwanted noise (drone-much bass), very annoying and I'm searching for solutions.

Cheers.

Mate you can install some stainless steel bottles (little resonatos) in place of the factory resonator (do not move the x-pipe cause you have it installed in the best performance place) but i think, installing some little resonators you will solve the drene

Okay, so the placement is good...The even hum I could live with, it's the pulsating that I'd like to know if you're able to alleviate. Let me know, because when I remove my cats my set up will be the same as yours, so I'll wait to see what you come up with.

The strange thing I noticed is that the drone changes with outside temp, the hotter it becomes the louder it gets!?!
also I believe that drone is generated at the end of the exhaust section after-resonator before-muffler.
I have the x-pipe placed as close to the engine which gives me better scavenging but the drawback is sound waves resonate at the straight section after the x-pipe.
I wonder what will occur if I put a second x-pipe before the muffler, like some c63s with the Double XX X-pipe by GT PRO Performance Tuning.
For now I might soundproof the trunk, spare well area and see what happens.
My last option is to install the bottle resonators.
