Might have to sell it though with my wife still sick and not working on what I make alone it hard to keep up with maintenance. There's problems I know I have that I just don't fix, unplug a sensor here, bypass a hose there. It keeps the car running but it should be kept better car of.

They claim these will fit with an adapter cable. You'd have to call them to double check. The above is a list of head units that fit a 2000 e class without navigation and the Bose system. Generally if you have navigation a head unit upgrade will not allow you to access navigation anymore, generally.
I use crutchfield because of the car fit option in their car stereo section. I don't get any kick backs from them.
If you are really curious and not sure of your wiring abilities go to your local car stereo place and ask them. They can help and give you a good idea. Just make sure its reputable, don't want people cutting up your wiring harness because they don't want to spend ten buck on an adapter.
