driver's door problem

driver's door problem
My driver's door does not shut like the other three doors. Have to slam it closed. Sort of irritating. I would like to restore the clean effortless action like the other doors.
I noticed that the door will shut easily if I leave the passenger door on that side open, making me think that the seal on the driver's door next to the passenger door is interfering. However it looks fine.
The shot line around the door is even, so the door is mounted correctly. The only adjustment is at the door hinge, but I don't think it needs adjustment.
I can't see any warp in the door.
My best guess is a previous owner had the dealer replace the rubber door seal because it had perished and now the new seal is not flat enough for the door to shut properly.
Anyone out there encounter this?

My car has the same issue, I have a pre-facelift e320 and it does not require the level of effort the 55 does. I am gradually getting used to it but most times it takes me a couple of tries to get the door closed.
I have heard people blame it on air pressure. If you tilt the sunroof it will probably close more easily.
