As some of you know, my E55 comes from Japan. Unfortunately, so do the manuals, and I have ten of them, all in Japanese, all useless. So trying to find info has been interesting. You guys are great in the help department, and I thank you. But this evening, help came from Hollywood. Sitting on the couch, watching a movie (The Family. Robert DeNiro, Michelle Pfeiffer), the bad guys show up in town and hop into, what I thought were MBs. After much pausing and re-winding the pvr, yep, Benz's. When they open the trunk to disperse the arsenal, I find out what goes under that mysteriously placed swivel/lock button on the underside of the trunk lid. Highway safety flares/triangles! You guys probably knew this, and I never asked, thinking it would be something weird. Guess I was right. One more mystery solved.
