Floor Mats

Hello Gents,

Anyone know where I can score a nice set of AMG floor mats? I came across a set on E-Bay for $220. Trying to fit everything in the budget. Just bought OEM front and rear rotors and in the process of getting shorty headers for the summer.

The ones that say E55 AMG are discontinued. The new ones just have AMG on them and you can get them for $120.50 from ECS tuning.

Here's a thread with some more info: https://mbworld.org/forums/w210-amg/...floormats.html

The last new set I saw was on Ebay on Dec 10. It came with bag clips and paperwork. The buy it now price was $180. I offered $150 with 5 minutes, but was declined. Could not bring myself to pay much more than $150....

If you are dying for the original mats set up an alert. A few have come across in the past year.

They're exceptionally rare and eventually someone will pay the price as outrageous as it is.

I have two OEM rubber ones (front driver and passenger) if anyone is interested - black color. They are posted in the classifieds but I haven't gotten any bites.

Thanks I saw those. Just a tad better then mine

@desired speeds - Agree. I'm all for OEM and such but $150+ for floor mats can be better spent elsewhere. I plan on buying th e$90 mats and I"m thinking about buying the AMG pedals as well.

Anyone have any feedback on the slip on pedals or bolt on?

Foot Brake at Pedals Fits Benz AMG W124 R170 R171 W202 W203 W140 W210 W211 2013 | eBay
I have the pedals. They were new OEM off the C class sport and are slip on. The gas pedal can slip off but I just replaced the entire pedal versus trying to slide the stainless over the existing plastic pedal. The gas is screwed down by plastic bolts and the rest slip on My oem one was worn and the new plastic pedal was a little firmer to depress. They do not move or come off. There is a thread floating with the part numbers but be careful because there was a mistype and the brake pedal come with oval knobs vs round ones.

I think I paid less than $80 for the set.

This was after a recent clean. The bottom was cleaned using Simple Green Aircraft cleaner formula. I sprayed the light gray lettering and let sit for 15 minutes then resprayed and ever so gently scrubbed with the grain of the piping since mine are frayed too. Afterwards I thoroughly rinsed and then a second time used Tide with warm/hot water, repeat. Rinse, squeegee and hung dry. The bottom is the clean one and was the dirtiest.

I am actually thinking about going to rubber as well or the new aftermarket AMG mats. I agree, $150 or $180 is almost X-Pipe!! I have found new rubber sets for about $50 online. After seeing my friends weathertech, I like performance of rubber mats.

I'll have to try simple green one day when it warms up. Mine are pretty bad from all the snow and salt.

Must be a difference from old to new, as mine are blue and have a elongated tab on the top left of the driver's mat. It fits up under the park brake pedal.

Why Simple Green Aircraft cleane vs regular simple greenr? you think a bit of dish soap could stand in for that during this process? I would like to do this today but don't have any of that on hand.

I used a product called "Hertel". It is a green cleaning product. No adverse effects and the mats came out very clean. I may have used too much, though, as it took forever to rinse out, and I was using the garden hose. But they did come out very clean and smelling daisy fresh!

You can use regular. I just have the Aircraft gallon and I dilute it down. It does good job of getting the grease out of the lettering. Dish soap could work. Just let it set in a bit.

I didn't realize the OE mats were hard to get nowadays. When I picked up my car 2 years ago I remember the mats being worn and dirty. I didn't attempt to clean them. I put them away and bought a set of WeatherTech mats. After seeing how nicely they will clean up, I'm going to find mine and see if they are worth working on. Maybe they aren't as bad as I thought.

The ones with "E55 AMG" are like spotting chupacabras in the wild. Mine are deteriorating underneath and will not withstand such thorough cleanings further Id love to get replacements and would settle for the "AMG" only ones but I think Ill get the OEM Rubber ones for ~$50 and save the originals just like you did. I wish I would of bought OEMs 2 years ago when they were around.

Just like antiques...keep them awhile and they will go up in price. Seriously, someone will pay top money just to have the OEM floor mats. I bought a set of used MB rubber mats and put mine away in the trunk. I wish our cars will be like the floor mats...keep it for awhile and it will go up in price

Armani,
I have a set of the OEM AMG pedals install in my car when I first bought the car. It fits tight and you never had to worry about slipping. You can get them thru the dealer..the W211 metal ones are the ones I am talking about. I bought them from a sell on eBay and they individually came with the MB part # with the MBUSA sticker. Will try to get some pictures of my pedals on here later.
