Transmission adapter plug
I'm replacing my transmission adapter plug. I noticed some atf leaking. I know this a common problem with the plug o-rings. I also ordered some fuchs atf for the w210 722.6 tranny and a Febi Bilstein transmission Dipstick (Tool).
Replacing the adapter plug does not require a fluid drain. So, I will check the fluid level and add if necessary. Should be a simple job.
Anyone change the adapter plug??

I did it a couple of months ago. When you remove the old plug make sure you have a pan ready to catch the fluid that comes out, about a quart came out of mine. The rest of the process is pretty simple and there are several DIYs on the other forum.

Never hurts to service the tranny. Changing the adapter plug is so easy. I did mine when I serviced the transmission, might as well, you're down there anyway. Watch that dipstick tool. Mine broke in the first bend of the tube (it was a cheap-o from AutoParts. They will warrant, but freight back to them kills the deal, so I just use it without the plastic end and measure the oil depth.) Plug is indexed, can only go in one way. Same with connector.
