Who's running an H-pipe over X-pipe?
I'm pretty happy with the speed so I'm not worried about losing a few hp over an X-pipe. Going to run shorties, 2nd cat delete, res delete, and H-pipe.
General consensus (and IMO) is an H sounds better in the American v8 world, but I'd like some input on our m113's. Thanks!!

In my opinion, you wont get the american muscle car sound you want from our cars. I did the x-pipe and believe me its nothing like a mustang or charger/challenger. Its more "exotic" european type. Its deep but far from muscle car sound. the h-pipe might sound a tad bit different but i dont think it will sound much different compared to an x-pipe in our cars.

An H-pipe will sound closer to straight pipes, more raspy less defined. I've never heard it on our cars TBH.
But know that W211 E55 and similar AMGs of that Era have an awkward looking H-pipe before the secondary cats. Most W211 folks replace the stock crossover with an X-pipe.
Newer AMGs (63s) Have the H-pipe built-in inside the resonators.
Good luck,
Faiz
