What are the smallest wheels that fit the E55?

2000 E55
What are the smallest wheels that fit the E55?
I want to get a winter tire and wheel combo setup and can not find any info on smaller wheels being put on these cars. There is a ton of info on offset and going bigger obviously but nothing about smaller wheels I can find.

Will 17's fit? I doubt 16's due to the size of the front rotors but I was hoping someone on here has run with 17's and confirm a fitment.

I tried CLK Rims, 16x7 in C43, it fits rears, but using spacers for fronts, 17" should fit easily..

17s will fit. I ran e430 17s with c55 front calipers and did not need a spacer.

Any confirmation on 16" wheels?

I don't think 16s would fit because of the size of the front brakes. With 17's there is not much space left.
