E55 feels low on power
Fastest it's ever felt was with 4 adults after driving hard all day about 400 miles. It was night and the air was much cooler, maybe that helped but it pulled harder than with just me in the car. Even after a tune it didn't pull as hard as that day. And feels like it's gotten slower over the last few months, especially in warmer weather.
No CEL ever. Fresh air/fuel filters. Plugs changed about 40k ago. Has 172k now. Thinking it's a maf on its way out. I know the ecu has had 3 revisions for loss of power and mine's an 02 so I should have the newest revision but never checked.
Should I look into sensors like cam, crank, o2, coolant temp? Don't think the wires, coils, or fuel pump have been changed either. Will get the fuel pressure checked this

Have you tried the transmission reset? Driven hard for 400 will keep the strong shift points active for a while. All it takes it a few times "grandma'ing" the pedal to reset the tcu to eco mode and feel slow. I'd start there first since it's free. Try it out and report back.

If anything it made it worse. I tried the reset a few days ago, it's been improving slowly since. Checked my fuel pressure today and it's a constant 55 psi.
I was surprised to see out N/A cars have a MAP sensor. Didn't get the part number off Worldpac unfortunately. I wonder if bad knock sensors are pulling timing except in the coldest of weather.
