Rear brake upgrade help (c63?!?)

Cross posting from the regular w210 forum for extra eyes, plus you guys might be more inclined to upgrade brakes

Hi all,

I have a w210 running the e55 AMG front brake conversion in a race car w210. Problem with the rear upgrade is that there are no racing brake pad compounds for the little square type rear MB pads. This made for very scary race with the front tires wanting to lock far before the rear gets any bite at all - even with "aggressive" street-ish pads.

After much research, it looks like the c63 has a race pad available, but am curious about fitment in the w210?

Is the rotor center bore the same? Bolt pattern on the caliper?

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

-John

absolutely no way ... the pattern is different. the only 4-pot callipers that fit right away are from w209 clk63!

Thanks. Due to timing and the car being already entered in next week's race we went with Wilwood 4 pot calipers and e430 4Matic 300mm vented rotors.

Fabian is correct John,

you can go with "Clk63/Slk55" rear calipers, they're direct bolt-on,,

also all "55K" rear calipers will fit, but needs little bit mod to fit them properly.

ZAYED,,

Thanks. Ended up making brackets to use Wilwood calipers and used the 4matic vented rotors.
