It is possible! =)

Been working on my 99 E55 for the long time, it is my project car with few simple rules:
1. no mechanics
2. minimal cost $
3. basic tools
Had a lot of troubles, and this forum helped me a lot. Any question I had I found answer here. Thank You guys!
But this thread is about facelift w210 instrument cluster and steering wheel on pre-facelift=)
Few hours of job and few hours in junk yard searching right parts and here it is! Everything is working!
every button and function! (except gear indication, obviously there is no sensor to detect it on tranny)
Now I am waiting for my original carsoft V12 to fix my mileage.
Also my wood trims were messed up, so i decided to paint them with Hammered Rustoleum and cover with clear coat. Looks not bad =)
PS. I bought this car for $900 (salvage title due to small hit, nothing serious)

all you need is facelift steering wheel with airbag, srs ring from facelift model, and of curse new instrument cluster.
You just need to do some rewiring stuff but nothing too hard.
Main issue is to find someone with star das who can reprogram the instrument cluster mileage. ( if new instrument cluster is from totaly different engine than yours then you will need to configure new cluster to the correct engine and tank volume) mine was from facelift amg as well, so only thing I need is to correct the mileage before it locks.
